How old are you? 29
Where did the username come from? It was a theatre stage name given to me by my college friends and professors! I’ve kept the name ever since because I loved the ring that the name had to it!
Favorite Video Game? The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles
First Video Game? The original Legend of Zelda. I also didn’t know at the time there was a such thing as walkthroughs online to get help for games like this that make no sense and have no direction… so I beat this game all on my own. Never again.
What got you into Persona? I play whatever games my older brother recommends me, as we have the exact same taste in games and he has never failed me. I wanted to play Persona 5 when it had come out, per his recommendation, in 2017 but I never got around to it since Nier: Automata had the same release date and I chose that game instead. I never went back to play P5 so I knew I would have my chance finally when they announced Persona 5 Royal! So I played it on launch March 31, 2020 and immediately became addicted to the Persona series.
Favorite Console? Toss-up between Gamecube, and the Switch, but I’m just a Nintendo fangirl.
Why did you start streaming? I was always told by friends to start content creation because I have the personality for it, but I just didn’t know what kind of content to create for like 5 years. I started off just doing Creative streaming until I was able to afford my own gaming PC to stream from and started officially streaming regularly on September 20th of 2017!
How long have you been cosplaying? About 10 years now!
What got you into cosplay/what was your first cosplay? Some old friends told me about cosplay and conventions, and so I had bought my first cosplay of Lenalee Lee from D. Gray Man to wear. When I had gotten to my first con, Tekko 2011, I was surprised to see that some people had MADE their own cosplays and I was completely shocked! People make these!? Ever since then, I made my own cosplays for conventions. The first handmade one was my Erza Scarlet Heart Cruz 1 Armor set.
How do you decide what characters to cosplay? I typically only cosplay characters that I have a connection to of some sort and also like the character design. I’m attracted to unique and challenging designs that would push the limit of my skills.
How do you keep everything under $100? Look for cheaper fabrics, materials, that I can work with it enough to make it higher quality. 80% of my cosplay work is with foam which is where my lower costs come from! In my Cosplay tab, I explain in detail how I make each cosplay I’ve ever made. Check those out for some more insight on this question.
Do you make the costumes yourself? Mostly, yes! However, sometimes I can’t take all of the credit. Often times I’ll collaborate with fellow artists that create designs for me or I buy some cosplays that I know I wouldn’t make as well.
How much time do you spend making the cosplays? My first two cosplays took an average of 6 months because I was new. Now, on average it takes me about 3-4 weeks.
Which is the most difficult cosplay you’ve done? Definitely Twili Princess Midna because almost the entire cosplay involved me doing something I have never done before: sewing something bigger than a t-shirt or pants, airbrushing, making a bodysuit from scratch, and most important, figuring out how to use body paint and which methods were most effective. Lots of firsts!
